T-Mobile 5G Home Internet Test

Post by RJofOregon »

328 Mbps / 11 Mbps

Full time RV'er here. My only way to get Internet where I park my RV/home is cellular or satellite. I tried Starlink when it first came out but sent it back. Wife works from home and it wasn't reliable with her business phone calls.

So then I started trying different cellular options. This has been our life for the last 6 years. Our Calyx plan with its 5G M2000 hotspot was excellent for the last couple of years. But, things have changed and now video is being throttled and it just gone down hill overall lately. Now we are using T-Mobile's Home Internet and all is good. I do suspect T-Mobile will change things a bit when they reach a certain number of subscribers, but for now it's good. I'm 1.2 miles from the tower, I can stream 4K content and online gaming (PC) isn't an issue. I am always looking for better and faster options, of course, so if you know of something please shoot me a pm.

The fact that T-Mobile even offers such speeds unlimitedly for $50 a month still blows my mind. Welcome aboard! :D
